Don't mention the disgraced

21 days of commentary.  Over 100 hours. Not once did Phil, Paul or Matt mention the following:

Landis, Ricco, Di Luca, Velverde, Rasmussen, Schumacher, Kohl et al.

Pantani WAS mentioned in the regard of his climbing prowess, so it wasn't a truly clean slate but on the whole anyone who had dipped their hand in the El Puerto/CERA/cheating jar was not spoken of.

Cycling is in denial.

On the surface it was a 'clean' tour but again, ignorance is bliss.

He said, she said...

Contador has admitted that he is straight, and does NOT have a relationship with Lance.

Not even a congratulatory cerveza between blokes....

If there is any winner from the mud flingin' it will be the spectacle of them duelling the whole way round France in 2010. Let the pedals do the talkin'

Im already excited!

Andy Schleck (Saxo Bank), Alberto Contador (Astana) and Lance Armstrong (Astana)

If I can offer any advice to Lance it is break up with twitter.  I scratch mine too - but we don't all need to know.

Who said you can't?

Mythbusters did what they do best - busting myths and exploring the age ol addage that you 'can't polish a turd'.

Turns out you can.

Same can be said for bike components.  You can polish a turd, but the result is not that much better if the said part is pitted, scaled or damaged.

So when GN gave me an essentially NEW SR post to polish - the results speak for themselves.

Goes nicely with his already polished c-rankset.

On the subject of polishing I should also mention MG's custom BREV. FYXOMATOSIS chainring.

If you've got a special request for chainrings and/or polishing (or are having trouble with the e-store) just email - onlinefyx(at)gmail.com

The Belgiques are giving our chainrings a bashing in the rain too. Read what they think of FYX gear.

Taste of Le Bitumen.

 Jen's loves his helmet.

Ted would have previously argued he doesn't need one...

RIMG0040

The only downside to a helmet?  Helmet hair.

Kyle reckons 2009 was the best Tour in years, and gives MVP to Cavendish. Behind every great (show pony) sprinter, is an even better lead out man.  Steegmans and Devolder for Boonen...

Mark Renshaw for Manxman.  Gets the job done with a modicum of the spoils.

Check out some great Tour imagery here.
