Barely hitting the sides - giant steps
HAPPY FRIDAY An offering to The Lord Gonz.
I've been lucky in many ways.
Lucky to have travelled so much, lucky to have escaped death, and lucky to have some brilliant fabricator/mechanics to inspire and guide me through dark times, and to always set the bar higher for each build.
The Lord is one of them. Shifterbikes is another, and when the epoxy REALLY hits the fan, Turbo will save day.
For those of you who have followed fyx for a while, you may remember THIS customised bicycle the Lord made for a friend.
Single shifter, candy paint, polished parts and filled with matching paint.
The fact that under that paint was plumbing pipe was beside the point. I was blown away by the detail and immediately knew that THIS was the HOT ROD precipice of bicycles for me.
It's taken three years, but finally, a bike to rival the Lords project - full photos next week.
COLLINGWOOD.
who?
Giant Steps
Life's too short to ride rubbish bicycles and drink bad wine.
The Boss and I took some Giant Steps to Healesville and enjoyed some great food, plonk, and scenery.
Lucky enough to have one of the winemakers show us the ropes, and the tastes on offer. Thanks, Dave!
The riding out there is amazing - so is the Moscato!

See you next week!
Ride safe - wear a helmet.
Next weekend
All disciplines represented, even BMX which I failed to mention first time.
