Up to the eyeballs

You know that feeling when you've eaten too much - but the food is so good you can't but help having another morsel.  You're sitting down, so it's only when you go to stand you realise you are stuffed to the brim with rich goodness.  Even when you stand, you stare at the table and look at what remains and now standing, you could probably squeeze one more bite in.

L'Eroica is like that.

For the eyeballs.

One door closes, another two open.

If you asked me a year ago if I would ever open a shop I would have said 'Never'.

Yet it was just over a year ago an opportunity to open a shop presented itself.  If it hadn't been adjacent to anyone other than Shifterbikes I still would have said 'Never'.

However, this particular door had opened and I walked through.  Dan from Shifterbikes is someone I have much respect for in the world of bicycles, and we have worked side by side with on many projects for customers, with similiar beliefs and sense of design, though different approaches since well, forever*.

Absolutely nothing to do with cycling.

Among other notable inventions, the French have always had a long running love affair with insanity and here they invent a new method to dare death.

It's a HD VIMEO piece so I suggest you push play - pause and let it load - make a coffee and enjoy.

Thanks UpDave for the daze distraction.

Where I choose to dine

I see many parallels between the food world, and how I see the sector of the 'bicycle industry' I connect with.

Most of us can follow a recipe and understand that a dish is the combination of its ingredients, and following a method step, by step.

The Last Word

Whatever your opinion may be on Lance Armstrong - here is some enlightenment that is the most rational of all I've read on the internet.

For those of you who have just crawled out from under a rock, Lance's endurance to fight doping claims in court has finally come to an end.  Some agency no one had ever heard until last week is taking great pleasure in cutting down with a chainsaw perhaps the countries greatest sporting icon of last decade.

I was never a huge fan of Lance.  Im not a huge fan of Collingwood either.

Put the kettle on.

Cucumber.

They don't come any cooler than Mitch Docker.  Great to see him back on the bike.

The voice of Australian cycling /  King of Heidleberg Heights, Matthew Keenan also gives some great insight into his 'world' on tour.

So I told you

I grew up with The Beatles, but hearing Hey Jude by a weary McCarteney was the lowlight of the opening ceremony.

I would have much rather have heard Muse rock the stadium to the ground.

For the Track heads, there is a blip of Ryan Bayley and Gary Neiwand in action!
