On the eve of the Tour Down Under I was flying to Adelaide to shoot a wedding - a cyclists wedding of course.

I wanted to sneak a cheeky ride in and already loaded with camera ruled out taking the bike.  On a whim I thought I'd ask the twittisphere if they'd loan me a bike and this is what it came back with.

There is no doubt the popularity of cyclocross in this hemisphere is on the up and up.

Even if you never pin on a number, a cross bike is arguably one of the more utilitarian bikes you could get for recreational riding, racing, commuting, touring and if you've got the skills, mountain biking.

I got my hands on a Trek Presidio to thrash. Here's my 20c for whatever it is worth.
