Frame builder in focus
Darrell 'Llewellyn' McCulloch.
Most famous for his polished stainless lugs, which has gone on to become heavily copied and emulated, what I like most about Darrell's work is his persistance to quality frames designed to last. My own personal Llewellyn (RIP) was one of the most understated of all his frames I've seen. I loved it no less. For all the details that I drool for when the bike is stationary, married with Joe Cosgrove's world award winning paint, it's the ride quality that I instantly fell in love with. The knowledge for which has been accumulated of a lifetime of filing, brazing, and mitring tubesets for all levels of rider. Weekend warrior to World Champions.
I managed to intercept a 'custodian' before it goes to it's new home in Scandanavia.
