My word is legion.

For we are many.

I'd said this would be the first image I'd post back from the TDU - and I'm keeping my word.

Masi - mondo

Colnago-phile Greg Softley of Cyclomondo fame said I should check out his latest acquisitions. I think you should too.

If you ever feel like your addiction to bikes is going overboard or your better half is giving your grief, Greg is a welcome reminder that most of us are still in our collector diapers with a archive of steel and alloy that would put Colnago's own showroom to shame.

Buon Natale!

All we want for Christmas is a new bike - and more time to ride it.

Soft spot

For Ciöcc.

Racing pedigree, heavily pantographed components, and all the hidden details you'd expect to find on a tailored suit. What is not to love.

My first road bike was a Concorde (Ciöcc), and my first racing track bike was a Concorde. From there began a deep love of Giovanni Pelizzoli's exports whichever marque they fell under. Ciöcc (Pron: Chu-uch), Concorde, and Conti.

I Kissed a girl and I liked it

Pinarello Montello's and Campagnolo C Record has nothing to with Katy Perry and I hope things remains that way.

CLASSIC BICYCLES

Cinelli CMX1

Almost every cycling 'story' begins with a BMX.

This iconic cinelli brings back memories of my own blue bmx.

After school we'd host skid comps down Hill st, temporary jumps constructed of brick and ply, seeing who could ride the furthest 'no hands', all the while slurping on a sunny boy. 'Epic' rides that seemed to take an eternity to Blue lake with my dog and who ever joined the local SM bandits'. I have to also mention the demise of my BMX when my grandpa backed over my BMX, crushing the frame and my spirit.

Sigh

A classic.

To this day, few track bikes are more boss than this old girl.

Kinky is the Hetchins way

Blakey has been sending me updates on the progress of this restorative journey since he procured the frame back in 2007. The Hetchins was acquired thanks to a chance encounter in a Fremantle bike shop. The stars were aligning.

Blakey has put his own spin on the project, some details had to be foregone due to the original condition and numerous facelifts the frame has gone through.

Rather than wax lyrical, here's the story from the horses mouth.

This 1976 Bianchi Barcellona is about to be restored - here's the former glory sequence. The road ahead can only get smoother for this classic from the past.
