Creme de la creme

Best of the best.

It's always a hot topic of what the best cafe in town is. Day 1 of my TDU took me to Apollo Bay and Geelong was my stop for lunch.

Since the death of my old favourite cafe, I'm currently on the hunt for my new spot. At home and work, it's the same place. Cafe Grimac. In the town of Geelong, there is Fuel and it is better than good.

Cycling ephemera, Kenevans' hanging on the wall, fresh panini's and above all great coffee.

No matter how hip an interior, a cafe's style is always driven by the barista which flows through the staff, and Greg is a master of the dying art of hospitality.

I had the salami toasted, and finished it off the the poached pear pastry. Two macciato's and I was back on the bike.

Fuel is on Gore place, Geelong. Just look for the bikes hanging outside, and tell Greg I sent you.

Ride safe.
