Some bikes are diamonds

Some bike are stones.

You can find at least something good in every bike. I'd like to think so. Riding beats walking, so from that perspective there are ALL good, no matter how horibbly they may have been cobbled together.

Some bikes are diamonds, some are rough diamonds and some bikes are definitely stones.

Take it away, John!

Colour, Clarity, Carat, Cut

Some stones, in the eyes of their owners are diamonds and no one can tell them otherwise.

This 1981 Peugeot PL 50M 10 Vitesse was a diamond in the rough and after some cleaning is now bursting with brilliance. Complete in it's original state save the tyres and the addition of a Brooks B47 with Ti rails. It was never top of the line, but it's great to see this saved from the scrap heap, or suffer an even greater fate.

Simplex running gear, front and rear tail lights, portage racks, Chromed Rigida rims, Weinmann freins, Lyotard pedals with Christophe straps. Constructed with 103 'CARBOLOTE' steel by Peugeot. As french as poisson!

Thanks to DJ for stopping by with this 'gem'.

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Ride a diamond.
