It was great to see so many of NYC's best bike couriers using their head.

Squid, Austin Horse, Adam Ford all rocking BERN protection.

Maybe it's because they've been on the road for so long, or have all been run over by cars that they wont roll out without one.

Maybe it's just to keep their head warm in winter.

Who knows.

It's not compulsory to wear a helmet in the US, but it sure is a good idea.

They even look pretty good these days.
